‘I would have done anything’: Former UFC heavyweight fighter discusses UFC 178 comeback
Former heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira was asked by MMAFighting.com.com if he would have been willing to face Nate Diaz at UFC 178.
“I would’ve done anything.
You have to have a goal and that’s to win.
It’s not a matter of ‘if,'” Nogueiras said.
“I would still be here, even if they [UFC officials] say it’s not going to happen.
That’s the only thing they’re doing.”
Nogueira’s teammate, Georges St-Pierre, is also in the UFC.
The former champion and his teammate are not in the same camp.UFC President Dana White said he’s not ready to talk about the possibility of the two fighters facing off.
“We’re not going in that direction right now,” White said.
