Women’s BJJ World Championships: Bellator takes over Bellator’s women’s bantamweight division
The Bellator women’s featherweight title fight was a rematch of the Bellator 154 women’s title fight, which was held last November.
Bellator President Scott Coker told MMAjunkie that Bellator will use the same “heavyweights” as Bellator 155, which took place last August.
The promotion will use two of the best fighters in the women’s division: Chael Sonnen and Gina Carano.
“We will use a heavyweights’ match,” Coker said.
“It’s going to be a fight where Gina Caramo and Chael will fight for the title.
It will be a good match.”
Bellator also has a new co-main event in the form of Paige VanZant vs. Michelle Waterson, who will fight at Bellator 175 on March 23 in San Diego.
The main card is expected to be taped on March 18.
Bellator 175 takes place at the Toyota Center in San Antonio.
