A Lesson in Leather November 05 2014
Leather is always in fashion.
Evergreen and timeless.
Whether it’s shoes, accessories, or apparel, leather will always be essential to one’s wardrobe.
Sadly, all leather is not quality.
Many shops and market places take advantage of foam or faux leather and sell them as
real leather goods at huge markups to you the customer.
Foam or faux leather is something that is hard to distinguish from the real thing.
A proper understanding of foam/faux vs real leather goes a long way to making the right
choices when shopping for leather goods.
Basically you have 4 types of leather to choose from:
- Full grain
- Collected grain
- Top grain
We, at www.unitedpslit.com, always use full grain leather when manufacturing our selection
of leather goods and accessories.
When you shop for leather items, you often face a bewildering array of choices.
Leather's complexity can scare even the most savvy dresser.

What Colors Go With a Brown Belt? October 27 2014
There’s nothing classier than a leather belt wrapped around a fashionable pair of trousers, but how do you know when it’s best to wear a brown one?
Real leather belts last, instead of disintegrating into tiny bits like less durable pants-clinchers. A black leather belt is an easy buy for anyone – black is the new black, after all, and fits with most evening looks. However, the classic brown leather belt is a little more squirrely. A brown belt with black shoes is obviously a faux pas, but where does the line exists? How do you show off your classic style without clashing?
The first perfect home of the brown belt is the through the loops of a pair of flat-front khakis. In fact, khakis with a black belt are a terrible curse on the eyes, and practically require a brown belt. The two combined create a great day-time look for most workplaces, anywhere “business casual,” and even for a nice dinner during Spring or Summer.
Brown pants of any kind go with a brown belt, as does the perennial pair of blue jeans. Blue jeans are a versatile option for any sartorial occasion, and work very well with a brown leather belt and a pair of matching brown shoes. Avoid non-brown shoes with any brown belt, if you can help it. Gray trousers also seldom work very well with a brown belt.A brown leather belt is a must-have item in any closet, and is vital for a number of daytime and Spring/Summer looks.
Before the black belt, you must get the brown belt October 22 2014
To men who want to look fashionable:
For the longest time, many people get themselves confused about what color belt and what color shoes they should get. The big question is, “does it really make a difference?” But let’s not get confused, especially since we live in a world of color.
Brown is the color to use when you’re looking for that classy look. And I’m not talking about dark brown – I’m talking about the caramel and shiny colored brown that sits around your waist. It’s such a subtle part of your outfit, yet such an important part of it at the same time.
So what’s the rule of thumb for brown belts? Compliment it with brown shoes – they should always match to the best of your ability. And unless you plan to use a wild color, as a professional, you’re probably better off with a brown belt.
There’s no specific reason men are told to match these two colors. But if you really want some good reasons…
A brown belt is:
- Visually appealing. It gives you an elegant look – one that visually communicates the message, “I know what I’m doing” across.
- Unless you’re wearing a suit that isn’t tailored to your body type, wearing brown leather in subtle parts of your body (i.e. belts, shoes) can make your outfit look sharper and ultimately, make you look good.
- Lastly, and quite obviously, it’s fashionable. Men dig the look of a classy and sharp outfit. Ladies swoon over the sight of a well dressed male. If the hype hasn’t already won you over, let’s hope this message convinces you otherwise.
Before you buy a black belt, you should check your inventory of clothes – brown shoes? Time to get a brown belt. Having a pair of brown accessories will dress you into your manhood.
Women’s Wallets and How to Keep Them in Tip-Top Condition October 14 2014
Repeatedly spending money on wallets might be a hilarious irony, but it doesn’t feel funny when you realize you’ve spent so much money on money holders that you have no money left for them to hold. Luckily there are quite a few options available for keeping a wallet fit and clean.
First off, grabbing a durable wallet made of real leather is the first step – cheaper materials like bonded leather (or synthetic materials) will degrade quickly under pressure. United Split can help you with an enormous selection of high-quality wallets, if you’re looking for help with Step 1. Step 2 is about dirt.
Wallets get dirty, because everything gets dirty, and your hands are constantly reaching for it after touching everything else on the planet. Don’t use soap or cleansers on a wallet – that’s a great way to strip leather down and damage it. Instead, a damp cloth and gentle but firm elbow grease should be able to remove whatever build-up is making your wallet dingy. Also, a regular application of a damp cloth will ensure it doesn’t get too dirty in the first place.
Step 3 is about moisture. Leather, while strong, deals poorly with too much moisture (or, not enough). If your wallet gets soaked, remember to allow it to air-dry slowly – a blow dryer will dry it too quickly, leaving a stiff, hard, non-pliable chunk of leather that used to be your supple leather wallet. If your wallet’s dry like a mummy’s hand, you’ll have to pick a leather cream or oil appropriate to the type of leather your wallet is constructed from – a quick Google search should tell you what kind of leather goes best with what kind of moisturizer.
Step 4 is prevention – leather doesn’t “snap back” to its original shape, which means you’ll want to make certain you don’t overfill it. If your wallet is starting to look like a leather boulder, consider streamlining what you’re putting into it.

Your advantage from buying made-to-order bags October 05 2014
Have you ever felt a strange sense of attachment towards something that you owned? Almost like it meant more than just “something you bought.” It would be like receiving a gift that you didn’t expect, but also really wanted. I’d bet you’d cherish that gift and make sure that you do everything you can to protect and nurture it, right?
Today, I want to show you some of the biggest advantages of buying handmade bags. From the authenticity of creating the bag to the production process, all of these factors don’t measure up to the value from a handmade bag.
First, let’s imagine having a bag that was only made-to-order. That means, if you called in and requested for this bag, you’d get it. You won’t be able to find this anywhere else. Not having to worry about having the same bag as someone else. In the world of handmade bags, your bag is unique to your personality.
These are made with true craftsmanship – no machines are used to assemble things together. Imagine the attention to detail you would invest in when you look for a diamond. Every strap and every metal on this bag was carefully chosen and created. Every piece of leather is conservatively used in order to make up the contents of the bag.
Secondly, think about how often we buy things with the intent to use them. But, at the end of the day, we end up leaving them around, not taking care of them, or thinking how easily it can be replaced. But these handmade bags won’t make you feel that way at all.
You’ll actually feel like you need to take care of it and to protect it. It’ll be like your most prized possession because it was made with strict handpicked materials and crafted to the finest that it can be.
Why All Professionals Buy This? September 17 2014
Find out why all professionals buy this
You’ve got a fitted, deep black blazer matched with a grey button up shirt and a pair of dress shoes carefully chosen to match the seams of the suit pants. Everything is neatly chosen, yet the subtlest part is one of the most important aspects of a suit – the belt.
A belt is arguably one of the biggest fashion trends known to mankind and has been used for years in all sorts of forms. However, for today’s article, we will be focusing on a belt used for men – whether it’s for a practical or fashionable purpose, a belt is something all men should own. And ladies, we’re not excluding you – a belt is a perfect gift for the holidays, but a great gift shouldn’t be any less quality. A belt that will last for years to come, not the cheapest belt that anyone can find at a local consumer store.
So, why do men use the same belts for many years? For most, the goal is to be economic – meaning that the money you spend now will be repaid in years to come. In other words, what you spend on a quality item today will eventually come back (in the form of income or saved money) in the future. In this case, we’re going to show you exactly why some men don’t bother buying a new belt after a single purchase. You heard right, one purchase that lasts for years to come.
Discover the difference of using a quality belt
In the world of economics, there are really two types of belts – replaceable belts and quality belts. But let’s explore what a quality belt entails.
- A quality belt is one that is known as “full-grain,” or genuine leather belts. They’re the most high quality, durable, flexible, and tough types of belts to buy. If you’re looking for the number one reason why any male would simply use the same belt over and over, this would be the reason. A belt that can endure all kinds of abuse without losing its function is one that men will continue to use forever.
- Now that we understand why a man should look for one that will last him a long time. But why would they keep using it over and over? Most belts come in black or brown – you don’t really see exotic colored belts that are worn in the professional world. And in fact, most dress shoes come in…black or brown! It’s not entirely a coincidence. The easiest way to determine whether you’d want a black or brown belt is by the color shoes you wear. Black belts go with black shoes and brown belts go with brown shoes, simple right?
But don’t feel limited to matching your belt with shoes – your belt should match at least one article of clothing on you. Otherwise, it won’t give the subtle illusion it creates.
- Now a lot of arguments occur between a belt being a necessity or an accessory. While both arguments are valid, we like to think of a belt as both. It will do its job correctly by holding up your pants, but it also adds style to your overall outfit. This is the 3rd reason any man will buy a belt to use repeatedly – if you look good, you’ll feel good.
- I like to compare a belt that has been used repeatedly to a shoe that has been broken in. When you buy a new pair of shoes, they’re rigid and sometimes, a bit uncomfortable. The same with a belt – one that is brand new has never been used, and frankly, it’s not as comfortable as one that has been used (It’s flexible, it’s sturdy, and it fits you). For most people, it is a matter of convenience and comfort. You’re used to it and to buy a new one means it has to feel the same as the belt you use now.
- To properly wear a belt, you should get a size that wraps around so that you can use the buckle to stop it at the middle hole. Getting one that stops there can help keep your belt in longer use because weight and size of men can change, keeping it at the middle allows you for room to shift the belt size without needing to purchase a brand new belt.
In general, the factors of quality, comfort, and style all affect the belt that we buy. We encourage you to spend your time to research on this topic. Imagine a suit without a belt, it would be like a tub without water; it’s not absolutely necessary, but it would be nice. Even a suit with a bad belt choice – it would be like a face with a pimple; not obvious from far away, but up close, you can really tell.
Of course, there are many other reasons why you would keep reusing a belt. We’d like to hear from you about what keeps you from buying more belts. Comment below with what you think is a reason.
The Outfit Of The BIG Boss September 15 2014
All the big bosses wear this, do you?
Have you ever had an interview with an employer or potential employee and everything about them was great? They had everything – a fitted, dark colored blazer set with a clean and ironed button up shirt, tailored pants and a clean pair of leather shoes…except a belt.
During your break, I’d encourage you to take a walk through town. You’ll be surprised to find many individuals not wearing a belt. While it’s not a necessity, a belt is one of the subtlest pieces of article you can own.
Think about it this way: a man in a suit without a belt is like a room without a lamp; adding a belt is like adding a lamp. It’s not absolutely necessary, but it can make a tremendous difference in a person’s suit, and in a similar sense, a lamp can change the way you see the room.
“So I need to get a belt now.”
To tell you the truth, that decision is complete up to you. As you continue to read, consider these examples that a belt can make in your overall life. And that will advise you what to do:
A belt makes a big difference when you speak with an employer or employee. It establishes a sense of authority just by the way we dress and it demonstrates our professional status without saying a single word.
Even if you’re walking through town in casual professional clothing, a belt can demonstrate your social status – the last thing you’d want is for anyone to think any less of you. People make first impressions based on what they see, so make a lasting impression for them.
Whether you meet clients face-to-face or by greeting, people will take notice of the extra time you take to look good; missing a belt or wearing lint-covered clothing can easily distract someone and draw their attention somewhere you don’t want it to be. A clean shirt won’t attract any more attention than a shirt with a dark stain. People take notice of the subtle details, even when you don’t think they will.
Don’t let others think otherwise
It’s easy to see how a belt can affect how others look at you, but what about you? Good question.
A belt is universal in any form of fashion – it goes with all types of clothes (professional or casual) and even doubles up as a way to hold up your pants. You can never go wrong if you wear a belt under your shirt. Likewise, not every pair of pants will fit exactly like another – having a belt can eliminate this problem.
When you look good, you feel good. A belt really adds to the overall style of your outfit – especially for a suit. Wear a full suit and add a black leather belt to it with black shoes – you’ll notice what a difference it makes. When you feel good, you’re more focused on your job and beaming with higher confidence.
Belts always help, never hurt
A belt is a small investment you make for yourself. A small item that can greatly improve the overall image, chance at a job, and outlook in life, is worth the money you spend on it.
Do you wear a belt? Some think a belt is a necessity and others think it’s an accessory – which do you think it is? Comment below and let us know.
Let Your Clothes Explain Your Personality September 14 2014
How to let your clothes explain your personality
Don’t you ever wonder why you should dress your best for an interview? It’d be nice to have a reason to dress up other than to “look professional” in front of your boss, coworkers, or clients. In fact, some of us could actually care less about what other people think of us – so why take the time to dress up?
What if I told you, “if you look good, you feel good?” Wouldn’t you agree? Do you remember a day when your hair was just so “on point,” you had to take a picture? And I’ll bet you felt pretty confident with yourself by posting it on your Instagram or Facebook. How about prom day – you dressed your best and really took the time to make sure everything was good for your pictures.
Now I’m not saying that you need to dress so elegantly every day for work (who has the time to do that anyway?), but it’s something about the clothes we put on that can make others, and ourselves, feel a certain way towards that person.
Dress with a purpose
When you look at a male wearing baggy, ripped up, faded jeans with layers of plaid shirts, and a “rock on” t-shirt, how does he make you feel? Does he make you feel like he’s ready to conduct serious business with you? Or does he make you feel like someone you can goof off and have a good time without worry about business with?
You see, every day, we wear clothes based on what we think looks good. In fact, the reason why professionals mainly stick with black and white is to demand authority – it gives us a sharp look that sends this type of message out to people.
And it’s not just colors that make us feel certain ways. The style of dress (see the example in the beginning) and even the brand of clothing can make us feel better about ourselves. When you wear something expensive, that you worked hard to pay for, and only wear once every few months, you can’t help but to feel like you’re on top of the world.
“Does this mean if I dress well, I’ll do well?”
YES! Well, not quite. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet. What we mean is that if you take the time to look good, you tend to feel good about yourself. And when you feel good, you’re more confident in your abilities. Keeping that feeling in mind, your chances of staying focused and being prepared to take on any challenges are much higher.
So, in a way, yes, the way you dress can be somewhat of a measure to your success.
Back to the basics
While there are a variety of colors, some of the basic colors we wear to our workplace or casually can say a lot about ourselves.
Blue is a common color that we all wear – blue reminds of us the ocean, so we associate this color with calming and relaxing effects; ever used the sound of the ocean as a way to sleep? Through studies, we can also see that blue sparks creativity among people, so if you want to get some creative thinking going, start wearing some blue!
Dark tones demand authority and power. Colors like dark navy, gray, and black tend to suggest these characteristics along with the power of influencing others. When you wear these colors, others will think you know what you’re doing.
On the contrary, wearing lighter tones make you appear less intimidating and friendly. It suggests that you are approachable, rather than weak and soft. If you’re looking to make wardrobe changes, lighter colors can ease those changes better without leaving obvious changes in your style.
How do you want others to see you?
If you’re looking to change the way you feel or how others see you, start by making subtle changes in your wardrobe – you probably won’t want to run to the nearest store and start buying light colors if you’ve been wearing dark colors. The key is to ease into a certain style.Do these colors make you feel that way? Share with us your experience about what you wear and how it makes you feel in the comments.
How to Match Your Wallet - to Your Style! July 30 2014
Learn what distinguishes a boy from a man
There comes a time when you take the step from being a young lad to a grown man. In this major transitional phase, you’ll need to check one very important thing – does your wallet express the feeling of professionalism from others? That Velcro wallet with the big logo on the front of the wallet was created for boys. It’s time for you to join the big boys; the first step of the many to your journey of manhood.
As you continue to read, keep in mind that wallets have all kinds of labels like, “high quality leather,” but they offer a fraction of quality you’re looking for. So how can you be sure that what you’re getting is worth your time, money, and most importantly, your image.
Let your wallet speak for you
Imagine if you had such a wallet that immediately demonstrated your high level of professionalism and class. You’re probably wondering, “what kind of wallet would that look like?” So your first step is to understand what exactly makes someone think that way about a wallet:
As you read, compare your wallet with the components that make a “quality” wallet, and ask yourself if your wallet fits this imagery:
- Style – one that fits you and says a lot about you. For example, for a professional look, you would want to buy one that would propel you to look at someone with the same wallet the same way. A wallet can also be fitting for today’s lifestyle – one that shows your taste compared to today’s modern fashion trends.
- Durability; a key quality in almost anything you purchase, but how can you tell if it’s durable? For the sake of this discussion, let’s use another example: a typical leather wallet is made from full-grain leather, a type of untouched and pure leather designed to withstand all sorts of temperaments – getting wet from the rain, being left out in the sun, dropped, jammed between things, or thrown around. Now that’s quality that guarantees durability.
- Practicality is a fairly straightforward characteristic. Sometimes you’ll have a lot of bills to carry around or you’d like something that can sustain the amount of cards you might have, so you need something that can fulfill both of those scenarios, big or small wallet; it’s got to be practical for each situation, can your wallet do that?
- Lastly, if you could have a comfortable seat or an uncomfortable seat, which would you choose? In all cases, you need something that is comfortable, but easily accessible from your pocket.
So now that you know what to look for in a wallet, wouldn’t you agree that you need something like this in your life? Now, the next question is how do you decide among all the different options out there? An excellent question.
So many choices, so little time
The most popular type of wallet to own is a bi-fold. Look for full-grain leather bi-fold wallets, they’ll be worth your money. Another type is a tri-fold, pretty self-explanatory.
Other types are a travel wallet or a checkbook wallet – these are designed to fit in your pocket easily. The travel wallet to carry your airport documents and the checkbook to easily slide in your pockets.
Another unique type of wallet is a money clip – one of the simplest wallets available now to hold your cash as well as cards and identification. It’s designed to be carried in the front pocket for easy access with its light weight.
The last type of wallet is a wallet adjusted to fit modern lifestyle – a phone wallet. These come in different types, such as a phone wallet/case, which covers the phone as well as holding your needed cards and identification. And another is a newer style with the card and identification holder in the back of the wallet. With today’s digital and technological age, users don’t need to carry around cash as much as they use to anymore. So yes, you have a variety of choices, but if you’re always on the go, you might want a phone wallet. If you hate having too many things at once, a money clip or bi-fold would suit your need. Remember…
Your choice affects your future
I bet you’re looking at your non-leather wallet or unstylish wallet, realizing that it’s time for a new look. So make the choice today and treat yourself to a wallet that help you achieve a level of professionalism and manliness. There are brands out there that offer what you need – we suggest you take your time and research.
So what kind of wallet do you prefer? Comment on the blog and let us know how suits your lifestyle.
The Problems With Swollen Wallet July 13 2014
If you’re like most men – and even women – it’s possible that you’ve filled your leather wallet to the brim. Between credit cards, pictures of your family, cash and other important documents, it’s not unlikely for us to have overstuffed our leather wallets, giving us a case of ‘swollen wallet’. Now, this may seem like an irrelevant topic…until you consider the damage that ‘swollen wallet’ can do. It’s not just ruining the quality of your leather wallet…in fact, it can be affecting your health.
If you’ve ever been sitting for a sustained period of time and, upon getting up, have had severe hip pain, it’s possible that your wallet could be contributing to the problem. What you may not know is that there is a condition that’s actually referred to as Wallet Sciatica (professional term being Piriformis Syndrome). It seems from having too much ‘padding’ in certain places and lacking it in others, meaning that your body is getting uneven amounts of pressure which makes it easy for a pinched nerve to emerge. Sitting for a long time on your swollen wallet – or really any uneven surface for that matter can result in Wallet Sciatica.
Now that you know about wallet sciatica, here are some helpful tips on how to avoid it to make sure that you not only protect your precious leather, but your back, hips and nerves!
Don’t sit on your wallet: It may be natural for many of us to just stow our wallet where we always have as force of habit, and for the most part, this is okay. But when you’re on a long drive, an airplane ride, or doing another sustained sitting activity, you want to make sure your wallet is not in your back pocket, but stored somewhere else that’s safe.
Thin Out Your Wallet: So many of us are guilty of not cleaning out our wallets. We keep everything – and we mean everything! – in our wallets, including things that do not need to be there. At least one a month, do a wallet check: clean out everything that shouldn’t be in there. Any cards or materials that you haven’t used in the last 6 months, take them out and store them in a safe place.
Find a New Place to Wear Your Wallet: After you’ve cleaned out your wallet, enjoy the fact that it’s super thin by finding a new place to stow it that won’t affect your back or hips. A front pocket, a coat pocket, a shirt pocket. If you can’t bear to have your wallet part with your back pocket, then do make sure that you take our advice above: make sure your wallet is as thin as possible and remove it when you’ll be sitting for long periods of time.
Take all of these steps will ensure that you not only maintain the quality of your wallet but that you maintain your health, as well! Your wallet shouldn’t be a source of pain (both financially and physically!). Take care to make sure that your wallet isn’t affecting your health for the worse.
Leather and Ecology July 13 2014Just how earth friendly is leather?
As our society becomes more focused on green living and being better to our earth, there’s been a greater concentration on whether fashion pieces, like furs and leathers are eco-friendly. But the question remains: is leather a true ecological choice?
Manufacturing leather does have an environmental impact and it lasts throughout the process of manufacturing the leather right up until the need for that leather item ends when we dispose of it and it becomes waste material. The measure of whether leather is eco-friendly or not has emerged from what eco-friendly restricted chemicals and by-products are used in the production of leather, like azo dyes, PCP, chrome VI, formaldehye and other materials. There is also the way that the leather is tanned that has a significant environmental impact (and quite frankly, none is much better than the other).
So is there a way for you, as the consumer, to ensure that you are purchasing environmentally preferred leather? The simple answer is yes, but it requires a bit more research and due diligence on your part.
Firstly, as we mentioned above, finding out exactly how the leather is manufactured is the most important elements. Then you must also conduct research in what inputs are used to manufacture the leather. This is where the environmental effects really come into play, as explained above because this process so often includes above average energy consumption, air emissions, waste management, water consumption, harmful environmental chemicals and other factors.
So to be sure that you are choosing the most ecological leather possible, you ideally want to look for these key elements:
Control of the leather manufacturing process (a clear effort was made on behalf of the manufacturer to make sure that the least amount of environmental damage was done during production)
That the manufacturer used as many ‘clean chemicals’ as possible in the process of producing the leather
That any restricted substances that were used were effectively managed and maintain to limit environmental damage
And an understanding of how long the product will last you (how long will the item be of service to you before you must dispose of it. The longer you use it, the more ecologically friendly it is)
If you are concerned about the environment but don’t want to give up your luxurious leather items, the list above can help you determine that you are buying the safest, most ecologically-responsible material possible. Don’t be afraid to ask your leather seller for more information on how the leather items you’re interested in purchasing are manufactured. They should be able to help guide you through the process of picking the perfect leather item that is also environmentally friendly.
Don’t Be A Fool While Buying Leather Goods July 07 2014
One of the most difficult parts about buying leather online is making sure that you don’t get swept up in false material. If you’re paying the full price for leather, you want to make sure that you end up with real leather…not just a ‘leather-type’ material. Here are some helpful tips for making sure that when you buy leather, you’re buying the real thing.
Firstly, you must understand that leather is the skin of an animal. In fact, as long as the material of what you’re buying is originally from the skin of an animal they can claim it’s ‘Genuine Leather’. The problem is that many of the items made of this ‘Genuine Leather’, but aren’t really true leather, are typically made of lambskin leather as opposed to ‘full-Grain’ leather (which is leather in its truest form: clear, supple, clean and consistent in color).
A significant difference between faux leather and real leather is in the feel and smell of the material. An item that’s made of real leather will have rough edges and when folded, has a line pattern that crisscrosses over. Leather that’s actually plastic or vinyl won’t do that: in fact, it will easily fold over and the edges will be smoother and feel more like plastic. Genuine leather also has that buttery, smooth consistency as a part of it, while faux leather feels, again, more plastic. We all are familiar with what real leather smells like and so genuine leather will also have this unique smell. Faux leather won’t have this quality and will smell more plastic or have that ‘produced’ smell.
The other best way to tell if your leather is true Grade 1 Leather is by determining whether the item has been surface-dyed to match the color and consistency of leather. Now keep in mind that Genuine Leather is often dyed anyway before being sold, but this is more of an aniline-dye (which is like adding varnish to wood, allowing its natural beauty and consistency to shine through), rather than surface-dying (which, to use the same analogy, will merely cover up the wood’s natural surface and any impurities).
As an overall rule, you should be able to tell the difference between Genuine Leather and a plastic, vinyl or leather-like material by simply checking the item for overall craftsmanship and the item’s color. A good leather craftsman will not use 2nd grade or 3rd grade and because of it’s significant difference between 1st grade leather, it should be relatively easy to see the comparisons and know whether you’re making a wise investment in real leather, or whether to save your money.

Men and women of all ages love leather belts. They are very versatile and can be worn with many types of clothing. From basic black leather belts to fancy leather belts covered in colorful metal, these are worn with coats, dresses, pants, and jeans every day. Leather belts are practical too because they can last for several years if they are well taken care of and cleaned and stored properly, as leather has special needs when it comes to keeping it clean and supple.
Types of Leather Belts
Some leather belts are simple, like buying a black leather belt with nothing fancy on it just so your husband’s pants will stay up or purchasing a basic snap-on leather belt. However, some can be very fancy and made of more expensive materials like suede or full grain leather or have decorations on them like jewels or pictures painted on them.
Leather belts are made of all different kinds of animal skins. There are belts made of alligator, crocodile, or even ostrich, but the most common leather belts are made of calfskin. You have to be careful if you want real leather belts because there are a lot of synthetic products on the market. These look like leather but are made of cheaper materials.

How to choose a men’s wallet March 02 2014
How to choose a men’s wallet
We all know that most men do not replace a wallet often, so you must pay attention while choosing a wallet that would match your desire and needs.
Most men want a small wallet, but they have many credit cards. In such cases we recommend two possible solutions: one is of course to reduce the amount of cards in your wallet, and not to keep things that are not needed (and we all keep things that we do not need).
If there is not such an option, the solution is to switch to a wallet that contains more.
In this article we will review three sizes of wallets : small, medium and large and see which wallet suits you.
Small men's wallets: This group is also divided into 2 smaller groups, the first group are the Small wallets whose job is to hold a number of cards but no free space for banknotes (unless you fold them) and no room for coins, these wallets are very thin and usually also hold for years.
And of course there are leather wallets that are small but more efficient and have room for coins and banknotes. Pay attention to the contents of the wallet, as they are very small and slip easily into a pocket and do not take up much room.
The next size of wallets is Medium: usually these wallets are built to contain a larger mass of paperwork or credit-cards; usually they contain more than 7 cards (hidden and visible) and often comes with two transparent compartments. These wallets are durable and very suitable for people who walk around daily with many cards and money.
Big wallets: These wallets fit men who walk around with many cards, coins, paper and ID card.
Sometimes the wallet is kept inside a bag and not in a pocket. These wallets have many compartment, and a number of accommodations with zippers.
In conclusion, all we have to do is check what our real needs are and then go select a wallet.
